Data Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer to join our team in the banking industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable ELT pipelines, optimizing database performance, and ensuring data integrity across various cloud environments. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop high-performance data solutions and ensure compliance with best practices.

Key responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain scalable ELT pipelines
• Develop and optimize PL/SQL queries and database objects for high-performance data storage in Oracle
• Write Python-based data engineering scripts to process data
• Implement CI/CD pipelines for data infrastructure and workflow automation
• Manage database change processes effectively
• Work with one or more major cloud providers
• Integrate and manage a modern data stack
• Monitor, debug, and optimize data workflows and infrastructure performance
• Ensure data quality, governance, and compliance with best practices

Ideal candidate profile:

• At least 4 years of experience in a similar field
• Proficiency in designing OLAP systems (STAR schema, denormalization)
• Strong knowledge of Python and PL/SQL
• Experience in ELT/ETL development using GUI-based tools (IBM Datastage, ADF, Stitch, Matillion)
• Expertise in Database Management: Oracle, MSSQL, Snowflake
• Understanding of DevOps & CI/CD: Git, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Bamboo, Azure DevOps)
• Familiarity with test automation tools: Robot, Selenium, and various test scenarios
• Understanding of version control techniques: Git, GitHub, GitLab
• Experience with Workflow Orchestration tools: Airflow, Prefect
